LAUX LAWYERS AG supports companies with a digital heartbeat in the planning, procurement and implementation of IT projects, advises on complex issues relating to data protection law and represents its clients in court in conflict situations. The common goal is always efficient solutions that work in the long term.
The project
LAUX LAWYERS AG has introduced Microsoft 365 (M365) in order to improve the security of its (client) data and meet the needs of its clients in the long term. With enhanced security applications and after intensive team workshops, the law firm can fully exploit the potential of the Microsoft Cloud. Specializing in IT law, LAUX LAWYERS are pioneers when it comes to using cloud services as a company with highly sensitive data - securely and compliantly! This project was realized in cooperation with our partner baseVISION.
The initial situation was a simple server infrastructure that no longer met the agency's requirements. The mail server was hosted externally and a VPN connection was needed for data access. In addition, the functions for collaboration were very limited and restricted. The joint solution was a fully comprehensive digital workplace and the transfer of all data to the Microsoft Cloud.
The solution focuses on the following areas
- Introduction of a simple and secure cloud solution
- Establishment of a collaboration platform for a virtual exchange of information, including with clients
- Transparency towards clients
- Transformation to a modern, mobile workplace
The following technologies were used:
- Azure Infrastructure
- Microsoft 365 Suite (incl. Microsoft Teams)
- Security Solutions deployed by baseVISION
We have examined the functionality of Microsoft's cloud solution in the light of the applicable laws and standards and found that the solution design enables us to strengthen the protection of our own data and client data while at the same time taking advantage of the benefits of a cloud solution.

This exciting project was realized in a cooperation between LAUX LAWYERS AG, baseVision, Alphatrust and innobit, with each partner contributing its strengths: LAUX LAWYERS AG was able to make active, quick and precise decisions thanks to a comprehensive internal risk and basic analysis of the legal and regulatory requirements and thus contributed to the successful implementation of the project, baseVision realized the conception and implementation of Azure Security and Device Management & Device Security and innobit implemented the secure collaboration based on the latest possibilities.
