SharePoint implementation at Swisslos
About the customer
The Swisslos Intercantonal National Lottery - founded in 1937 - is a cooperative and has 208 employees. Swisslos pays out over CHF 600 million to lucky lottery winners every year, as well as CHF 354 million to the cantonal lottery and sports funds (Swisslos Fund). The net profit of Swisslos goes entirely to charity. To date, CHF 5 million has already been invested in cultural, sporting, environmental and social projects. This makes Swisslos the most important sponsor of culture and sport in Switzerland.
The project
Swisslos must comply with various ISO standards in its business activities. As these are subject to constant updating, it is extremely important that the correct documents are available to all employees at all times and are easy to find.
The continuous updates have resulted in an enormous flood of documents, which is confusing and difficult to control.
After analyzing the initial situation, Swisslos decided to rely on the proven approach of innobit ag and to implement SharePoint.
By using SharePoint, maintenance costs have been significantly reduced and communication and the provision of information to employees is now fluid. The time lost searching for up-to-date information has been minimized.
In addition to user-friendly handling, which also resulted from an appealing visualization of the content, great importance was attached to implementing a solution that can also be used in the future. With this SharePoint "out-of-the-box" solution, this wish was taken into account and the changeover to future SharePoint versions is no longer a hurdle.
Summary of the solution:
- SharePoint with Nintex-based approval and reminder workflows, PageLayouts including ContentTypes, ManagedmetadataStore and PDF print component.
With the introduction of the latest SharePoint version, we now also have internal winners.
